Anyone who has watched the Brazilian MTV spot, Balloons, must have wondered how on earth it was done – and here’s a chance to find out.
ParanoidBR, whose Dulcidio Caldeira directed Balloons for MTV, has released a ‘making of’ film, showing how 600 animation drawings were printed, stuck on the balloons, and then attached to a specially constructed railroad track, before being mercilessly popped.
Balloons picked up two golds (for craft and design) and a silver (for film) at Cannes this year.
